SUMMER
If you thought that winter is the only season worth
while in Mammoth Lakes you haven't seen the beautiful
summers here. With a climate that can't be beat, wonderful
wild flowers, and scenery that matches no other,
Mammoth is definitely a four-season resort.
See Mammoth Lakes from a different perspective,
try a hot air balloon ride or see Sherwin Creek on horseback.
Drive or backpack to lakes with breathtaking scenery
and plentiful fishing.
Take the shuttle down to Reds Meadow and
check out Devils Postpile National Monument. Hike a
quarter mile to Inyo Craters or take a swim in Hot Creek.
Go for a scenic day trip on horseback with one of several
local pack stations.
If you're adventurous, Mammoth Mountain
transforms it's ski runs into a mountain bike park with
trails fit for every ability level, or try out the climbing
rock or ropes course. If you're not looking to work
up a sweat, sit back and watch the pros at the NORBA
mountain bike races held at Canyon Lodge, or check out
one of the many music festivals in town.
If you want to venture outside of Mammoth,
Bodie Ghost town, Mono Lake, the June Lake loop and
Yosemite are just a short drive away. You can't forget
the Jazz Jubilee in July; it's a fun time for all ages
and just a short walk from Seasons 4.
